Why Femtum?

Femtum is born from a strong desire to unleash the potential of mid-infrared lasers all over the world. Our mission is to help industrial manufacturers and scientific teams to solve their most demanding requirements, from selective laser microprocessing to state-of-the-art mid-IR spectroscopy.

Femtum gives access to mid-IR with simple and turn-key laser systems, without the need for laser experts to operate them.

Femtum is a Canadian spin-off from the Center of optics, photonics and laser (COPL) in Quebec City, one of the largest optics centers in North America. Over the past decades, our team developed a unique know-how and patented technologies to make a difference in the laser industry. With this deep understanding of mid-infrared fiber laser technologies, we bring innovative solutions to solve manufacturing bottlenecks in the semicon industry
